Mein Julius was part of the exhibition WAYPOINTS LIKE SHARON´S STONE at Kunsthalle Exnergasse, 8.11.-3.12.07 Opening: 7.11. 19.00

Mein Julius (My Julius) has no desire to obediently bow his head in servitude anymore. He goes where he wants, when he wants. And if he doesn't want, he can stay where he is. His life is not fate, it is in his own hands. Just like the images of him on the street. There is no place for racistic clichés in public space: whether agitating slanders sprayed on the street facades or the "classic" logo of a colonial trade company.

My Julius originates from the current work on a film about racistic slanders in Vienna: a comment on the veneration of racistic stereotypes in the global capital of facade racism.

A cooperation between Simon Inou, Toledo i Dertschei and Markus Wailand.
A production by the documentary film collective pooldoks.
